Haqiqi to submit doc on Mehrjuii to Fajr filmfest

TEHRAN -- A documentary on filmmaker Dariush Mehrjuii produced by Mani Haqiqi is to be submitted to this year’s Fajr International Film Festival.
“The documentary features Mehrjuii as a filmmaker by focusing on several of his outstanding productions,” Haqiqi told the Persian service of ISNA.“Mom’s Guest”, “Sara”, “Santur Player”, “Pari” and “Hamun” are among Mehrjuii’s credits.
Haqiqi’s credits include “Canaan”, “Abadan” and “Men at Work”.
Haqiqi has been working on the project for the past three years and is determined to release two documentaries each lasting an hour and half, “the submitted version is a 100-minute selection from the two docs.”
“The version has been edited by Bahman Kiarostami and Peyman Khaksar, and will be submitted to the secretariat of the festival soon,” he remarked.
Ezzatollah Entezami, late Khosro Shakibaii, Mohammadreza Sharifinia, Mahmud Kalari, Niki Karimi, Ali Mosaffa and Jila Mehrjuii are among the cineastes appearing in this documentary, said Haqiqi.
Haqiqi previously produced a documentary on “Hamun”, an influential movie done by Mehrjuii.
Mehrjuii will probably take part in the 28th edition of the festival with his latest work “Tehran Searching for Beauty” and “Beloved Sky”.
